The Holy Quran refers to the purity of heart in numerous verses. It says only pure hearts in which there is no Shirk and no doubts have access to presence of God.
Salah, like the Quran, has a Zahir (appearance) and a Batin (inner dimension).
What kind of Salah leads us to perfection and salvation?
- A Salah that is based on knowledge and love,
- One that originates from Ikhlas (purity of intention) and kindness,
- One that is performed with Khushu (humbleness),
- One that is away from conceit, haughtiness and Riya (pretense),
- One that is constructive and inspirational,
- And one that comes from a heart that is pure from worldly desires and vices.
